Hey there, just wanted to do a quick post on the floral arrangement I did for the fashionable table blog Launch Brunch.
For those of you that live far away, our winter here in Minnesota lasted FOR-EVER. Therefore, fresh flowers were a bit hard to come by at the end of March. I have recently taken a liking to hydrangeas and love the way they look dried. So soft and delicate. I found these on the hydrangea plants around my office.
Side thought- I must have looked rather ridiculous tromping around the snowbanks in my pencil skirt and snow boots… #minnesotagirlproblems
A while back I made this coffee filter flower and thought it would round out the colors of the arrangement nicely.
The vase is filled with Digger Pine nuts, which we extracted from some cones last summer. Their rich reddish brown color complimented the darker details of the dried hydrangeas and offset the bright white of the coffee filter flower.
